No. 2: Evan Pryor- Cornelius, North Carolina

Evan Pryor is one of the most dynamic running back options in this recruiting class. The four-star back and No. 84 ranked player in this class has made a few trips already to Ohio State and it seems that he is very high on the Buckeyes. He also has another visit lined up to Columbus March 17-18, according to Lettermen Row.

This one is probably going to come down to the Buckeyes and North Carolina. Does he want to stay in his home state or go to a power house program? He has reportedly built a strong relationship with coach Tony Alford so hopefully that works in Ohio State’s favor.

Lettermen Row also indicated that a decision for Evan Pryor could come as early as this month so stay tuned on this top running back recruit.

No. 1: Donovan Edwards- West Bloomfield, Michigan

If Ohio State can pull Donovan Edwards out of the state of Michigan that would be a major coupe for the Buckeyes. Edwards was recruited hard by Michigan early in the process and was seen to be a big time Wolverine lean.

However, coaches Ryan Day and Tony Alford have made up enough ground on Edwards to where 247Sports gives Ohio State a 56% to 44% advantage over Michigan for his services. Edwards is the No. 2 ranked running back in this class and would be the major “get” that Ohio State has been looking for at the running back position.

Edwards has made numerous visits to Columbus already and look for this one to come down to the wire between Michigan and Ohio State, but ultimately I believe Edwards will be wearing the Scarlet and Gray in 2021.

Next. Garrett Wilson in the slot is fascinating. dark

There you have it Buckeye fans. A list of the top six running back options for Ohio State. If I made a prediction today on which two running backs wind up in Columbus it would be Donovan Edwards and Evan Pryor. And that would most certainly ease the minds of Buckeye nation when it comes to the future of the running back position at Ohio State.
