The Ohio State football team is in the midst of building one of the best recruiting classes for the 2021 season. Tunmise Adeleye is set to visit the Buckeyes.

Tunmise Adeleye, a four-star defensive end prospect from the IMG Academy in Florida, has announced that he will be visiting Columbus for the Ohio State spring game on April 11. This is a huge target for defensive line coach Larry Johnson and the Ohio State Buckeyes as they look to add a second top flight defensive end to pair with five-star 2021 commit Jack Sawyer.

Adeleye’s stock has risen as of late as he now is ranked as the  No. 43 best player in this recruiting class and is the No.3 ranked strong side defensive end according to 247Sports. Obtaining his services wont be easy though as he also has visits lined up with the likes of Alabama, Florida and Oklahoma.

But Ohio State is clearly one of the front-runners for him. Adeleye had this to say to Zach Carpenter of Eleven Warriors:

"“I have a good relationship with coach Johnson, coach (Ryan) Day and coach (Greg) Mattison,” Adeleye told us over the weekend. “Ohio State is different from everyone because they’re known for developing elite players at practically every position.”"

Imagining Adeleye and Sawyer on the field together rushing quarterbacks is something that would be a scary sight for opposing teams. Adeleye is known for having a fast first step off the ball and pairing him with the powerful Jack Sawyer would be lethal. Sawyer is big on helping Ohio State trying to land recruits so I’m sure he will put the full court press on to help land Adeleye.

Next. Year 2 expectations for Ryan Day’s Buckeyes. dark

Currently the Buckeyes have the No.1 class in 2021 and getting a recruit like Adeleye to commit would almost cement a top three recruiting class. Other top commitments from the class include five-star quarterback Kyle McCord, four-star receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. and four-star offensive lineman Donovan Jackson. The latter two have the possibility of adding a fifth-star during their senior seasons.
