A new list of top recruits is out and plenty of future Ohio State football players in Ryan Day’s No. 1 ranked 2021 class are on it.

The latest Top 247 recruits list is out and several Ohio State football commits are on the list. Here is a look at players in Ryan Day’s No. 1 ranked recruiting class who made the cut for 247Sports.

3) SDE Jack Sawyer 6-5, 220 (Pckerington, Ohio):  He is ranked the No. 2 at his position and the overall player in the 247Sports Composite. I can’t wait to see what Larry Johnson will do with this beast.

8) OG Donovan Jackson 6-4, 308 (Bellaire, Texas):  Jackson is the No. 1 guard in the 247Sports Composite.

48) ILB Reid Carrico 6-3, 225 (Ironton, Ohio):  He is the No. 2 ranked player at his position and I’m looking forward to see him wear Scarlet and Gray. High school teams in the Ironton area have been known for playing hard-nosed football for as long as I can remember.

57) PRO QB Kyle McCord 6-3, 204 (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania):  Ryan Day is getting greedy at the quarterback position. He has two of the best in this year’s recruiting class in C.J. Stroud and Jack Miller, and the No. 4 QB in the 2021 class.

94) WR Marvin Harrison Jr. 6-4, 184 (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania):  This outstanding receiver is McCord’s high school teammate. If he is almost as good as his Hall of Fame father the younger Harrison will be fun to watch.

108) WR Jayden Ballard 6-2, 175 (Masslilon, Ohio):  Another star receiver for coach Brian Hartline who grew up in the same part of the state as he did.

120) DT Mike Hall 6-3, 290 (Streetsboro, Ohio):  The hits just keep coming for coach J.

163) OT Ben Christman 6-6, 299 (Richfield, Ohio):  Like Donovan Jackson, Christman has great size for a high school junior.

Here are the other commits in the 2021 Ohio State recruiting class.

  • Jaylen Johnson 6-1, 205 (Cincinnati, Ohio):  No. 18 ranked safety in the 247Sports Composite.
  • Sam Hart 6-5, 225 (Aurora, Colorado):  No. 17 tight end.

Next. Fleming, Smith-Njigba listed as best 1-2 WR punch. dark

Ryan Day is off to a great start in his second recruiting class. Expect more commits to be in the Top 247 down the road because many outstanding high school players are considering playing for the Buckeyes.
