With 11 players on the Ohio State football team heading to Indianapolis for the NFL Combine, its time to project where they will go in NFL Mock Draft No. 1.

The Ohio State football team continues to be an NFL factory for talent. Last year Nick Bosa, Terry McLaurin, Dwayne Haskins, Parris Campbell and Isaiah Prince were among a total of nine Buckeyes drafted by NFL clubs.

Ohio State looks to have at least the same amount of players drafted in 2020. With 11 players invited to the NFL Combine in a few weeks it is time to project where the former Buckeyes will land. Here is NFL Mock Draft No. 1.

Round 1

No. 1: Cincinnati Bengals- Joe Burrow QB, LSU

No. 2: Washington Redskins- Chase Young DE, Ohio State

Former Ohio State players reunite as the young core of this team as Young will join Terry McLaurin and Dwayne Haskins. The defensive end is arguably the best player in this draft and has Hall of Fame-type potential as a pass rusher in the NFL. The Heisman trophy finalist will look to have a Nick Bosa type impact as a rookie in 2020.

No. 3: Detroit Lions- Jeff Okudah CB, Ohio State

Jeff Okudah is the second Buckeye taken in the top three (actually third if you want to count Joe Burrow). The top cover corner in this draft looks to stabilize a major position of need for head coach Matt Patricia and the Detroit Lions. With Okudah’s athleticism and size, the Lions should have a Pro-Bowl caliber corner for years to come.

  • 25) Minnesota Vikings – Jeff Gladney CB, TCU
  • 26) Miami Dolphins – Terrell Lewis EDGE, Alabama
  • 27) Seattle Seahawks – J.K. Dobbins RB, Ohio State

The third 2019 Ohio State football player taken the first round, J.K. Dobbins fills a major need for a Super Bowl contender in 2020. The first 2,000-yard rusher in Buckeye history, Dobbins raw power to gain tough short yardage and his ability to bust the home run makes him a perfect compliment to this Seattle offense.
