The Ohio State football program has several former players in the 2020 NFL Draft, and one that can make a statement right away is J.K. Dobbins.

Former Ohio State football players like Chase Young, Jeffrey Okudah and J.K. Dobbins are projected to be selected pretty early in the 2020 NFL Draft. While Young and Okudah are projected by ESPN’s Todd McShay to go in the top three and Dobbins is selected to be a late first-round pick, Dobbins could have a chance to come up big in big games as early as next season.

McShay has Dobbins going No. 32 overall to the Kansas City Chiefs, the reigning Super Bowl champions. I think Dobbins could be a perfect fit for that team.

The Chiefs were one of the most explosive offenses in the league this year, averaging 28.2 points per game with the most talented quarterback in the league in Patrick Mahomes, and his plethora of weapons in guys like Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce and Sammy Watkins.

What that offense is missing though, is an elite running back as they did not have one player rush for over 500 yards this past season.

We saw that this team’s offense can be even more dangerous with an explosive back as Kareem Hunt ran for 824 yards in 11 games in 2018, but the team released him in November 2018 after a video was released of him getting in an altercation with a woman and they haven’t had the same running game since.

Dobbins could be that guy who takes that already explosive offense to new heights.

In only three seasons with the Buckeyes, Dobbins finished second on the all-time rushing list at OSU with 4,459 career rushing yards. He had an incredible junior year too, running for over 2,000 yards and 21 touchdowns.

This is what he could add to the Chiefs, according to The Draft Network’s Kyle Crabbs.

"Brings it in all phases of the position. Runs hard and he’s not one to duck out of bounds without delivering a blow to his tackler when he’s leveraged or pinned into the sidelines. He’s a blue collar player and did well to find more explosiveness in 2019 offseason to set himself up for a big boost in draft stock."

I think Dobbins could make an impact for the Chiefs right away as he would become the best running back in that locker room as soon as he walks in.

Next. Ryan Watts could be next big player for ‘DBU’. dark

We all know that Dobbins is hard-working and very talented. That hard work could pay off when he plays a big role in the AFC Championship Game or the Super Bowl next year as I expect the Chiefs to be in title contention yet again.
