Haskell Garrett, defensive tackle

Haskell Garrett is entering his fourth year in this Ohio State program and has a massive opportunity awaiting him this offseason. With the Buckeyes top three defensive tackles gone to the NFL from last season, Haskell has a chance to step in and win a starting job as a senior.

It wont be easy as talented players such as Tommy Togiai, Taron Vincent, Antwuan Jackson and Jerron Cage are all going to be fighting for playing time. But the fourth year player should have a leg up with his experience within the program.

Last season Garrett recorded 10 tackles in a limited amount of reps. Even if he is not named the starter, he can fill in as a rotational player at that position as Larry Johnson rotated B.B. Landers, Davon Hamilton and Jashon Cornell all season long last year.

Garrett was a big time recruit for Ohio State back in 2017. The former four-star player from Las Vegas, Garrett was the No. 68 ranked player nationally in that class. Garrett also seems to have the right mind-set saying this last spring, via Eleven Warriors:

"“I just work day in and day out, just focus on the group more than myself. Whatever the group needs, I do,” Garrett said this spring. “When you go in as an individual, you have to make plays, and if you get that opportunity, you got to seize your opportunity.”"
