No.3 J.T. Tuimoloau, defensive tackle

The No. 4 ranked player in the 2021 recruiting cycle would absolutely make Larry Johnson’s defensive line feared for year’s to come. Tuimoloau, a five-star recruit from Sammamish, Washington, is a tremendous athlete for a player of his size and can be an interior force the likes that we have not seen at Ohio State.

Losing their top three defensive tackles to the NFL this season, the Buckeyes are in need of some fresh blood at the defensive tackle spot. Ohio State has also had good success in going out west to grab defensive tackles as they have done with soon to be starter Tommy Togiai and possible starter Haskell Garrett.

With a 247Sports projection as a Top 10 NFL Draft pick, the bar is set really high for Tuimoloau to live up to. Here is a portion of his 247Sports scouting report:

"Thick, sturdy athlete with a powerful lower half and a frame that will add mass easily on the college level. Operates primarily as an edge defender in high school but frame allows the possibility to kick inside as he continues to mature. Extremely unique talent in terms of versatility."

Next. Breaking down the depth chart, tight ends. dark

If the Buckeyes can land his services than that would make a pretty formidable duo of 2021 defensive linemen with fellow five-star recruit Jack Sawyer.  And it also would mean the possibility of having the best recruiting class of all-time at Ohio State.
