To say this is an interesting matchup would be an understatement. The No. 1 team in the country led by a Heisman Trophy winner against the defending national champions should be fun to watch.

Also, LSU is the favorite but on paper Clemson is the more balanced team. Here is a lok at the season stats of both teams.

LSU is No. 1 in total offense averaging 564 yards per game and is No. 1 in scoring 48.9 ppg. However, these Tigers are No. 29 in both total defense and points allowed. Clemson is ranked in the top 5 in all four categories.

But a look at how the LSU defense has played recently tells a different story. It has only allowed more than 20 points one time in the last four games and that was when the high powered Oklahoma offense scored 28.

I see this game as a battle. It will be especially interesting to watch who wins the chess match between Clemson’s defensive coordinator Brent Venables and LSU quarterback Joe Burrow.

I see this being a close game, and with the talent at the skill positions expect to see big plays by both teams. I have confidence the Heisman Trophy winner will make enough plays with his arm and his legs to pull out the win.

LSU wins 41-34.

Next. Titans keep winning, OSU left waiting. dark

There you have it, our last predictions for the season. Hopefully this time next year we will be be predicting the final Ohio State football game.
