We at Scarlet And Game make our predictions for each Ohio State football game. Now we will predict how the CFP semifinal game will play out.

There is a pretty big game on tap for the Ohio State football team isn’t there? Here are our predictions for the CFP semifinal.

Thomas Scurlock will get us started.

Ohio State playing Clemson in the College Football Playoff semifinal in Glendale seems fitting.

The Buckeyes 31-0 loss to the Tigers in the same game in 2016 was reminiscent to the 41-14 beatdown the Gators put on them 10 years earlier.  Blowouts that damaged the perception of the program.

Despite the love for the Phoenix area, Ohio State was just 1-3 playing in the University of Phoenix Stadium. Maybe the name change will help.

All kidding aside, Ryan Day is bringing in an Ohio State team that is better and more complete than the 2006 and 2016 teams.

The debate leading up to the playoff announcement was mostly around avoiding Clemson in the semifinal. That’s ridiculous.

I can think of no better way for the Buckeyes to seize back the reigns from the Tigers than by ending their 28-game winning streak on the same field where they embarrassed the Buckeyes.

Few outside of Buckeye Nation are picking Ohio State to win this game.  Fine. It is Ohio State vs. the world.

No one gave Ohio State a chance against Miami or Alabama either.

The Buckeyes wins the battle in the trenches, plays with discipline and attitude, and take control late in the game to win 34-30.
