CFP semifinal games LSU vs. Oklahoma and Ohio State vs. Clemson are the marquee matchups but there are very good bowl games on tap.

This will be the last time I’ll be picking against the spread this season. I’ll pick the LSU vs. Oklahoma and Ohio State vs. Clemson games as well as other bowl games involving Top 10 teams.

LSU (1) by 13 over Oklahoma (4):  I have to admit I’m surprised at this point spread. LSU has had an outstanding season but Oklahoma has played well also.

I think this game will be closer than many think for these reasons.

The Tigers have had problems on defense and the Sooners have a high-flying offense. Also, Jalen Hurts just keeps making plays with his arm and his legs.

I think the Oklahoma QB does enough to at least keep his team in the game until the end. I’ll take the Sooners and the points.

Clemson (3) by 2.5 over Ohio State (2):  It appears everybody is high on the defending champions in this game. Those same people may not be after realizing how physical the Buckeyes play and how athletic they are. I’ll take the points here because I think Ohio State wins by double digits.

Georgia (5) by 4.5 over Baylor (7):  I was impressed by the way Baylor played Oklahoma in both losses and think Georgia may be the most overrated team in the country. Give me the Bears and the points.

Wisconsin (8) by 2.5 over Oregon (6):  This is a tough call because I really like both teams. Since the Badgers have been through the wars I’ll take them and lay the points.

Florida (9) by 14.5 over Virginia (24):  This is a lot of points to give but I have been pretty high on Florida. I’ll take the Gators to cover.

Penn State (10) vs. Memphis (17):  I was too late for this pick and I’m glad I was. I didn’t have a good feel one way or the other.

Next. Predictions for Buckeyes vs. Tigers. dark

Well, these are the last picks against the spread this season. Not a great year picking but once again had a winning record. Enjoy the bowl season, there are interesting games on tap.
