Final Prediction

These are two teams that on paper are very equal. With two great quarterbacks, two great running backs, two great sets of wide receivers and finally two of the best defenses in college football, this game can go any way.

Ryan Day will be put to the test as he is going up against Dabo Swinney who has been there before and won it all. It will be imperative for Day keep his guys confident and grounded headed in to this game as they will go up against a team that probably has more overall team speed than they even do.

Clemson is going to score in this game. Yes, Ohio State has a great defense but it will be near impossible to keep the Tigers down in this one. As long as the defense makes them earn everything they get and not give up home run type plays then the Buckeyes will have a shot to win this one.

Holding Clemson in the red-zone to some field goals and maybe get a key turnover or two then the cards will move to Ohio State’s favor.

This is going to be a battle headed into the fourth quarter. Obviously, whoever makes the big plays and comes up with some stops in the fourth will win it. Can a first year starter in Justin Fields have ice in his veins and lead this Buckeye team to the National Championship game?

I say yes with the help of a stellar performance from the Buckeye defense and tailback JK Dobbins. Buckeyes 38, Clemson 34.
