This week’s games should be fun with the No. 1 Ohio State football team trying to finish the season 13-0 and teams battling for the fourth spot in the CFP.

If Ohio State, LSU and Clemson take care of business tomorrow they will secure a spot in the College Football Playoff. Other teams will be battling for the fourth spot.

There could be upsets though and that would make things really interesting.

Well, here the picks against the spread for Championship Weekend. Point spreads provided by the Action Network.

Ohio State (1) by 16.5 over Wisconsin (8):  It’s difficult to defeat a good team twice in one season and Wisconsin is on a roll. Once again I see the two teams battling early in the game but Ohio State pulls away in the second half. The offensive line will dominate late and skill position players will make enough plays for the Buckeyes to cover.

LSU (2) by 7 over Georgia (4):  This will be a battle between one of the best defenses in the country and possibly the best offense. The Bulldogs aren’t even ranked in the top 50 in total offense so it’s hard to believe they will keep up with Joe Burrow and the Tigers’ offense. I’ll take LSU and give the points.

Clemson (3) by 28.5 over Virginia (23):  Clemson has dominated weak ACC teams of late and probably will defeat Virginia soundly too. However, barring both Ohio State and LSU being upset Dabo Swinney’s team will still play the 2-3 game in the playoff so he will pull his starters as early as possible. I’ll take the points in this one.

Utah (6) by 6.5 over Oregon (13):  If the Utes win they could be in the playoff but the Ducks have plenty of motivation as well. A Pac-12 Championship and a better bowl game would cap off a fine season. Since I’m not sure who wins this game I’ll take Oregon and the points.

Oklahoma (6) by 9 over Baylor (7):  In their last matchup the Bears dominated most of the game and the Sooners did late. This could be a three touchdown win for either team or a nail biter. I’ll go with the latter and take Baylor and the points.

Next. Buckeyes will make CFB history in Indy. dark

There you have it, picks against the spread for Championship weekend. Last week I was 6-4 and I’m now 48-43 on the season. Hope I can finish strong.
