Ohio State football: UM enemies want Harbaugh to hang around
By David Wysong
The Ohio State football team continues to dominate Michigan, and all Buckeye fans should want Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh to hang around.
For the eighth straight season, the Ohio State football team defeated the Michigan Wolverines, this time by a final score of 56-27. Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh is now 0-5 against the Buckeyes.
I have one simple request to Michigan: please keep this guy around.
Back in October, Harbaugh said this in a letter to parents, according to a tweet from WTKA’s Sam Webb.
"Dear Parents,I am reaching out to let you know that the recent claims that I am “pursuing an exit strategy” are total crap. It’s an annual strategy driven by our enemies to cause disruption to our program and to negatively recruit. By the way, I don’t even have an “agent or representative.”I am committed to your sons, their education and to their development as football players and people. Please excuse the informality of this letter but I felt that it was important to get this out to you as quickly as possible."
The most laughable line in this is, “It’s an annual strategy driven by our enemies to cause disruption to our program and to negatively recruit.”
Are you kidding me, Harbaugh? Your enemies don’t want to cause any disruption because Michigan is already a dumpster fire under you without them doing anything to mess it up.
Since Harbaugh took over at Michigan, the Buckeyes have defeated the Wolverines by two or more possessions four of the five games they have met. In fact, Ohio State has won by an average margin of 19 points in those five games, including a 62-39 win last year and a 56-27 win this year.
Ohio State’s football program, and even Wisconsin’s football program and Penn State’s football program, are just head and shoulders above this UM program that Harbaugh is in charge of.
I hate to break it to you Harbaugh, but none of them are worried about causing disruption for you. They are more worried about accomplishing even bigger goals than just beating Michigan. We hope you stay at Michigan. It is best for everyone – but Michigan.
