We at Scarlet And Game make our predictions for the Ohio State football game each week. It’s the last week of the regular season so we will now predict how ‘The Game’ plays out.

Doesn’t it seem like yesterday we were waiting for the Ohio State football team to take the field to begin the 2019 season. Now, this week the Buckeyes will face the Wolverines in ‘The Game’.

Once again those of us at Scarlet And Game will be making our predictions. For the second week in a row Thomas Scurlock gets the honor of going first because his margin of victory in the Penn State game was the closest.

Here we go with our S&G predictions for ‘The Game’.

Forget the season stats, the history and common opponents.  None of that matters when Ohio State and Michigan collide in college football’s greatest rivalry.

The Buckeyes have the East title in hand, but both teams have a lot at stake.

Ohio State is playing to remain in the College Football Playoff hunt.  Ryan Day does not want the streak to end under his tenure.

Jim Harbaugh is trying to get his first win over the Buckeyes.

Then there is just plain old pride.  Bragging rights mean everything to the players, coaches and fans.

The outcome comes down to playing physical, fundamentally sound football.  Dominate the trenches, run the ball well, avoid turnovers and tackle at first contact.  The team that does that will win.

Many believe Michigan is peaking and playing in the Big House gives them the advantage. Ohio State’s been on a mission to bury mistakes from the last two seasons and win the national championship.

Games in the Big House are usually close.  I don’t think that will be any different this year.

Ohio State will get a defensive stop and a late touchdown to seal the win.
