The Game between the Ohio State football team and the Michigan Wolverines always brings excitement. Here are the three most exciting recent games.

It is time for The Game as the Ohio State football team travels to Michigan to take on the Wolverines in probably the biggest game of the season for both teams.

There have been plenty of close and exciting games between these two programs over the years but I took the time to rank the three most exciting meetings in the last 15 years.

Without further ado, here is No. 3.

3. 2013: Buckeyes avoid upset

Ohio State was 11-0 and ranked No. 3 in the country going into Ann Arbor against the 7-5 unranked Michigan Wolverines.

The records and rankings were thrown out the window in this one though.

Here is the recap, according to ESPN.

Michigan actually took a 7-0 and a 14-7 lead in this one after two rushing touchdowns from Devin Gardner and Fitzgerald Toussaint. However, Ohio State QB Braxton Miller had a 53-yard touchdown pass to Devin Smith and a 53-yard rushing touchdown and the teams were tied 14-14 at the end of the first quarter.

Gardner then threw a TD pass and Miller had another rushing TD in the second quarter and the teams were tied 21-21 at halftime. It then seemed like the Buckeyes were going to pull away as a Miller rushing TD and a Miller passing TD to Jeff Heurman made it 35-21 at the end of three, but Michigan wouldn’t quit.

Gardner threw two touchdowns to make it 35-35 with 5:01 left and then Carlos Hyde gave the Buckeyes the lead again with 2:20 left on a one-yard touchdown run.

Gardner then threw a TD pass to Devin Funchess, making it 42-41 with 32 seconds left but the Wolverines could not convert on the two-point conversion attempt and the Buckeyes’ defense sealed the 42-41 win.

Miller was 6-of-15 through the air for 133 yards, two touchdowns and one interception, but also ran for 153 yards and three touchdowns. Hyde ran for 226 yards and a touchdown on 27 carries.

Gardner was 32-of-45 through the air for 451 yards and four touchdowns while Jeremy Gallon caught nine passes for 175 yards and a touchdown.

Ohio State avoided the upset in this one. The next game had a little more on the line for both teams.
