Entering the weekend Ohio State football coach Ryan Day needed a  running back to round out his terrific 2020 recruiting class. Now he has one.

Ryan Day already had an outstanding recruiting class in place in his first year as the Ohio State head coach but he had yet to land a running back. One committed Saturday and filled that void.

Miyan Williams is a three-star recruit from Cincinnati. He is the No. 43 running back in the 247Sports Composite in the 2020 recruiting class but don’t be too concerned about that ranking.

High school football in the Cincinnati area is among the best in the country and Williams has put up huge numbers against future college football players.

Bill Kurelic of 247Sports reported that Williams has rushed for 5,780 yards during his high school career. With the competition his high school team Winston Woods has faced against in-state teams like Archbishop Moeller, St. Edward, Elder and LaSalle as well as Christian Brothers from St. Louis Mo., his totals are impressive to say the least.

Now that coach Day has his running back, let’s look at his talented No. 4 ranked 2020 recruiting class with their position rankings in the 247Sports Composite.

  • WR Julian Fleming, No. 1
  • OT Parris Johnson, No. 1
  • CB Clark Phillips III,  No. 5

  • S Lathon Ransom, No. 3

Next. Could Harbaugh's job be on the line Saturday?. dark

As you can see coach Day’s 2020 recruiting class is a very good one and balanced as well. It’s still up in the air if any players will be added, but if none are the first year head coach has to be pleased with the No. 4 class in the country.
