CL:  This game will be a battle early and each defense will have the upper hand in the first quarter. Coach Franklin and his staff will have a scheme that will slow down the Ohio State offense for a while and Chase Young and company will make things difficult for Penn State.

Ryan Day and his offensive coaches will figure out how to attack the Nittany Lions’ defense but the Silver Bullets will continue to make things miserable for their offense.

Coach Day will once again want his team to impose its will by running the football but throw often enough to keep Penn State from loading the box. As usual, the pounding attack will take its toll, probably before halftime.

The Nittany Lions are a very good team but just won’t be able to match up for four quarters. The Buckeyes’ offensive and defensive lines are too strong and the skill position players are too talented. Things could get out of hand in the second half, and I think they will.

I have Ohio State winning 42-17.
