We at Scarlet And Game make our predictions for the Ohio State football game each week. In Week 13 the Buckeyes take on the Penn State Nittany Lions.

Well, the Ohio State football game fans have waited for is almost here. We at Scarlet and Game will make our predictions for the Penn State game.

My buddy Thomas Scurlock won last week’s prediction so he has the honor of getting us started.

Tom:  Outside of a couple close quarters, Ohio State has cruised comfortably all season.  Can the Nittany Lions test the Buckeyes’ resolve?

Given the team’s determination and execution so far, finding a weakness is difficult.  Subsequently, most of Buckeye Nation and the rest of college football already believe this team is special.

The Buckeyes can prove it again with another dominating performance against the Nittany Lions.

I am pretty confident Penn State’s defense, at least up front, is strong enough to give Ohio State’s offense trouble some of the time, but not enough to keep it in check for four quarters.

I do wonder if the Nittany Lions’ offense has the balance to score enough to keep it close unless it gets extra possessions with turnovers.

It has struggled against the better defenses it has faced this year, and Ohio State’s will be the toughest it has faced yet.

Penn State will need to play a near flawless game to win.  Ohio State just needs to continue doing what it has done all season.  Be fundamentally strong, protect the ball and win the trenches.

I don’t see the Buckeyes falling down, though it might struggle a little.

Ohio State wins 37-23.
