The Ohio State football team will hold its Senior Day on Saturday as it will be the last home game for the seniors. Two juniors deserve to be recognized though.

While the seniors on the Ohio State football team will be recognized on Saturday for Senior Day, I think a couple of juniors should be recognized – Chase Young and J.K. Dobbins.

We can all assume that Young and Dobbins will be going to the NFL Draft after this season, so this will most likely be their last games at the Horseshoe as well. While there are some other juniors who may go to the NFL and deserve to be recognized, like cornerback Jeffrey Okudah, I am going to focus on Young and Dobbins because they have given me so many great memories.

Young has given us Buckeye fans more happiness than probably any other defensive player in Ohio State history has. He is the most dominant college football player in the country and will most likely be awarded for it when he is picked No. 1 overall in the draft this spring.

While we praise Young, quarterbacks fear him. Even though he has missed the last two games, he still has 13.5 sacks on the season and he turned in a performance we will never forget when he had four sacks against Wisconsin this season. I cannot wait to see what he does the rest of the season and during the rest of his football career.

No onto Dobbins. Where do I begin? I have loved watching him use his blazing fast speed and muscle to get past defenders or run them over.

His first game as a Buckeye against Indiana in 2017 he had 181 rushing yards, what a way to start your career. Since then he has been one of the best running backs in Ohio State history – which is really saying something when guys like Archie Griffin, Eddie George and Ezekiel Elliott have donned the Scarlet and Gray.

Dobbins has run his way to 3,745 total career rushing yards, which is good for fourth all-time in Ohio State history and he is only 23 yards behind George for third place. He also has a good shot to claim the second-place spot as he is 216 yards behind Elliott for second. Could you imagine how many more yards he could have if he didn’t share the backfield in the past with Mike Weber or if the Buckeyes didn’t blow teams out this year and he actually played in second halves of games?

I am also excited to see what Dobbins does the rest of this season and the rest of his football career.

Next. 3 questions for the Playoff Committee. dark

Young and Dobbins probably won’t get recognized on Saturday, but I want them to know how much I appreciate them for giving me great memories and for being so fun to watch. Now go on and win a national championship.
