We at Scarlet And Game make our predictions for the Ohio State football game each week. In Week 12 The Buckeyes take on the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.

Well, last week one of us predicted the Ohio State football team would roll and defeat Maryland by 59 points. I wonder who that was?

That gave me seven wins on the season in our weekly predictions. Let’s see if the young guys can do better this week.

Here are our Week 12 Scarlet and Game predictions beginning with my buddy Thomas Scurlock.

Ohio State’s backups outscored Maryland 31-14 in the second half so Ryan Day can do whatever he wants against Rutgers.

If the team comes out with the same determination as last week, and that might be a little difficult given the opponent, the starters should be out by the middle of the second quarter.

I know getting reps and staying in rhythm are important, but there is literally nothing to gain keeping them in longer than needed to score meaningless points.

That being said, Rutgers allows 198 yards rushing yards-per-game so I expect J.K. Dobbins and Master Teague will both eclipse 100-yards.

Dobbins only needs 112-yards to pass Eddie George and move into third place all-time.  I am sure Day will try to get him to do it early.

The Scarlet Knights have scored just 24 points in their six conference games.  That does not bode well going against this defense.

Buckeyes win 58-7.
