The Ohio State Buckeyes will be without the best player in college football on Saturday as defensive end Chase Young is suspended while they figure out a possible NCAA violation from 2018.

Hopefully he is only suspended for this week because the Buckeyes don’t really need him this game.

Maryland is 3-6 and their defense is not good at all as they are allowing 30 points per game. Their offense is not that great either as they are only scoring 29.6 points per game.

Now they have the task of trying to stop the Buckeyes’ high-octane offense that is scoring 48.2 points per game. I just don’t think the Terrapin defense has the athletes to stop quarterback Justin Fields, running back J.K. Dobbins and the plethora of other weapons Ohio State has on offense.

Ohio State’s defense is only allowing 7.9 points per game and while that unit takes a hit without Young, they are still too talented to give up too many points to a struggling Maryland offense. Maryland only scored seven points against Michigan and 10 against Minnesota and Ohio State’s defense is way better than those two teams’ defenses, in my opinion.

Even without Young they still have Jordan Fuller, Jeffrey Okudah, Damon Arnette and others so I think they will be just fine.

I think the Buckeyes get up big early and end up blowing out the Terps.

Prediction: Ohio State wins 52-7
