The first College Football Playoff rankings will come out today, and members of the Ohio State Football program do not seem to care about where they rank.

Today we will get our first idea of how the College Football Playoff Selection Committee really views the Ohio State football team and all the other top teams in college football.

The Buckeyes will most likely be one of the top four teams as they have been dominant all season long, but the guys on the team seem to care less about where they rank.

This is what Land-Grant Hold Land reported about head coach Ryan Day’s press conference on Tuesday.

"Day said that he’s not especially curious in the College Football player rankings that would come out later on Tuesday, because if they don’t win this week, they won’t be in the top four next week. He said that the rankings are “for the fans.”"

Additionally, Joey Kaufman of the Columbus Dispatch tweeted that Justin Fields said that he has zero interest in the first College Football Playoff rankings.

Do I believe that these guys won’t look at these rankings at all? No, I don’t. I think that human nature alone will make them curious about where the committee ranks them.

I do think, however, it is encouraging that they are all staying the course and just worrying about winning their next game.

In years past it seems like distractions have hurt this program. Whether it was the drama with Urban Meyer and Zach Smith last year, or just simply overlooking opponents like Purdue or Iowa – distractions have been a problem in the past.

This year feels different though. There is not much noise outside of the program and the team seems focused on the task at hand week in and week out. This has led to their dominant start and to them winning each game by an average of 40.4 points.

I am certainly curious where Ohio State will rank tonight and I know all the fans are too. However, it is encouraging that the team does not care as much. Stay focused and just keep on winning.
