The Maryland Terrapins come into Columbus on Saturday for a noon game versus the No.3 ranked Ohio State football team. Here are five predictions.

The Ohio State football game Saturday against Maryland appears to be as big of a mismatch as the Buckeyes have faced all season in its Big Ten schedule. Until next week that is when they face off against poor Rutgers.

Never the less, the Buckeyes can still get some good work in for when they need to be at their best on Nov. 23 against Penn State.

Maryland (3-6) is coming in off a 38-7 shellacking from the Michigan Wolverines last Saturday.  Ohio State (8-0), fresh off a bye-week, opens as a whopping 43.5-point favorite, according to The Action Network.

Let’s make five predictions for what may go down on Saturday.

Justin Fields pads his Heisman stats

Justin Fields is continuing week-in and week-out to be a legitimate Heisman Trophy candidate. With 24 touchdown passes compared to only one interception and a total QBR of 92.8, good enough for third in the country, Fields is worthy of a seat in New York City on Dec. 14.

This is a game in which he can pad some stats to make sure his seat is secure.

He may not get a lot of time to do it though. This game should very well be in hand at half time. Head coach Ryan Day, however, does tend to play his starters a little longer than usual in blowouts.

So continuing with this trend, I predict Fields plays for three quarters, racking up 250 yards passing, four touchdowns in the air and 20 yards rushing. I say only 20 yards rushing because I don’t think there is any way in heck Day wants Fields running around risking injury.

Now for the other side of the ball.
