The Ohio State football team has dominated opponents so far this season. Here are my predictions on how the stretch drive will play out.

Through eight games the Ohio State football team has been one of the best in the country. With dominating performances in every game (the worst game of the season was a 24-point win over FAU) the Buckeyes have been ranked No. 3 in the AP poll two weeks in a row.

Ohio State has four games left. Two against teams at the bottom of the Big Ten, and two against ranked rivals. Here’s my prediction of how the Buckeyes end the season.

Maryland – Ohio State fans will be very cautious against Maryland after what happened in last year’s one-point victory. This Maryland team just looks different.

It’s a team struggling in all phases and are looking more at getting an identity than perhaps pulling off the upset. Coming off a bye week, I don’t see Ryan Day letting up at all – especially if he wants to give Justin Fields, J.K. Dobbins or Chase Young a chance at the Heisman.

I am looking for Ohio State to come out quicker than they have the last few games. While the second quarter spread has been amazing for Ohio State so far this year, I think Ryan Day would love to put a game away in the first quarter.

A basic game from the offense and defense should give the Buckeyes a comfortable win. Ohio State 59 – Maryland 7

Rutgers – What else is there to say about Rutgers? They have been the laughing stock of the Big Ten since they joined, and the potential hiring of Greg Schiano won’t change that.

Count this as a first half scrimmage for the offense and watch second, third and fourth stringers the rest of the game. Ohio State 63 – Rutgers 3

Now for the two biggest games of the season.
