We did it, we made it through Ohio State football team’s second bye week. Now, it is time for the homestretch as there are four regular season games left.

Ohio State football had its second bye week this past week. Now, that is over the Buckeyes must get ready for the most important part of the season.

There are four regular season games left on Ohio State’s schedule. This includes one game against Penn State, which could be a top five matchup, and another against Michigan which could maybe be a top 10 matchup.

The next two weeks could be just as important though.

Ohio State has a game against Maryland this coming Saturday and then they play Rutgers on Nov. 16. Maryland is 3-6 and Rutgers is 2-7.

Obviously, these are games the Buckeyes should win but I have one request: have no mercy.

Maryland is allowing its opponents to score 30 points per game this season and they have lost by an average of 27.8 points in their six losses.

Rutgers, on the other hand, is allowing its opponents to scored 36.7 points this season – in addition to only scoring 14.7 points per game offensively – and they have lost by an average of 33.6 points in their seven losses.

This sounds like a perfect recipe for Buckeye domination.

Ohio State is scoring 48.2 points per game and is only allowing its opponents to score 7.9. Additionally, they have won their eight games by an average of 40.4 points.

I say let’s win each game by 50 points or more.

There are two big games after these two and practice can only prepare you so much. Ohio State needs to act like these next two games are just as big as Penn State and Michigan.

If they play to the best of their ability, then there will be no letdown at the beginning of the Penn State game on Nov. 23 and they can just keep things rolling.

Also, we all have bad memories of the Buckeyes losing to teams they shouldn’t, and Ohio State only beat Maryland 52-51 last year when they should have dominated.

So, dominating teams they should dominate to ensure they remain in the College Football Playoff will make all of our lives more enjoyable.

The next two weeks might not have the luster of the last two weeks of the season, but these games can be used as dress rehearsals for two of the most important games of the year. So, Buckeyes I ask for one thing: please take no prisoners.
