Jerome Baker | 9 Tackles, 2 TFL

Linebacker Jerome Baker played very well in a Monday Night showdown with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The second year player had nine tackles and two for loss on the night leading his team in tackles.

Unfortunately for the Miami Dolphins though, after taking a 14-0 lead the defense just wasn’t able to hold the Steelers down throughout the entirety of the game. But that was no fault of Baker as the speedy linebacker was flying around the field.

Most of what we have heard about the Dolphins hasn’t been good this year. But if there is anything that we can glean from them is the duo of Raekwon McMillan and Baker is proving the future in the linebacking core is bright in Miami.

After all the trades Miami has made this season, ridding them of whatever talent they had left on their team, it’s no coincidence that both of these former Buckeyes have survived the fire sale.

They have combined for 100 tackles and four tackles for loss on the season for the Dolphins. I know no one wants to pay attention to the Dolphins right now, but it would be a grave mistake not to realize the strides Baker and McMillan are making this year.
