Michael Thomas | 9 Catches, 131 Yards

Michael Thomas didn’t put up a touchdown in a victory over the Bears on Sunday, but he continued to be Teddy Bridgewater’s favorite target.

Thomas was targeted 11 times and caught nine of those passes for 131 total yards on the day. The Saints, who have aforementioned gone 5-0 since the injury of Drew Brees, have still been able to rely on Thomas in the offense.

Pretty much anything that you throw at this guy has a high chance of getting caught, and that makes it incredibly easier for a backup quarterback trying to fill in.

Over that five game stretch, Thomas has definitely been Bridgewater’s favorite target as he has caught 42-of-52 passes for 554 yards and three touchdowns.

For the season, Thomas leads all receivers in receiving yards with 763 yards, 101 more than the next player on the list in Chris Godwin. He also leads the NFL in total receptions and targets catching of 62-78 balls thrown at him this season.

That all adds up to 79 percent catch rate which is insane for the amount of targets he sees every week.

It would be hard for anyone to make the argument Thomas hasn’t been the best receiver in the NFL this season. And with Drew Brees possibly making his return this week against the Cardinals, his production should only get even better.
