Vonn Bell | 8 Tackles, 1 TFL, 1 FF, 1 PD

It’s not a NFL Buckeyes article if there isn’t a player from the Saints included and this week Vonn Bell gets the honor of representing the city of New Orleans.

Bell had another great game against a Bears defense that has struggled for a large part of this season. He had led the team in tackles with eight and was also able to get into the backfield as well, getting a tackle for loss and a forced fumble.

Add in a pass defense and you have one of the more complete games that we have seen from a Buckeye so far this season.

Bell’s speed and size has allowed him to be a balanced safety and it’s a reason why the Saints defense has taken a huge step forward in 2019. Not many teams can lose a future hall of fame quarterback and go 5-0 over the stretch he is out.

The Saints did just that, and it is in large part due to a secondary made up of three different Buckeyes.

For the season, Bell leads the team in tackles with 46 and has a whopping four fumble recoveries to his name, one of those going back for a touchdown. That ties for the NFL lead with a player from That Team Up North in Devin Bush.

His production has contributed to the Saints allowing an 11th best 21 points per game this season. I’m excited to see if Bell can continue this production and get his first pro bowl nod of his career.

Now onto a familiar face in the Cowboys backfield.
