The Ohio State football team and Wisconsin Badgers are two of the premier teams in the Big Ten. But the Buckeyes are better and will enjoy success Saturday.

Ohio State and Wisconsin have two of the best statistical teams in the country up until this point. But neither team has faced an opponent at the caliber of the other, until Saturday when the Buckeyes and Badgers collide for a showdown.

This matchup, despite Wisconsin’s slip up last week, is still the headlining Big Ten game of the year for right now. Both teams have executed at an extremely high level both offensive and defensively. Ohio State has outscored their opponents by 292 points which is good for first in the country as opposed to Wisconsin being third with identical placements for yards per game differential.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Badgers have been nearly flawless as they’ve pitched four shutouts and allow less than eight points per contest which is good for the best mark in America. The Buckeyes, though, are not far behind at all. The Silver Bullets give up an average of eight points per game and have not allowed more than ten since week one.

Ohio State’s opponents have yet to even come within striking distance of the end zone in the fourth quarter. The Buckeyes have also exploded offensively in the second quarter averaging over 22 points per frame. Both of these statistics, I believe, will translate to Saturday because of the coaching staff.

Ryan Day and his staff have done an elite job of adjusting on both sides of the ball to put their team in the position for optimal success. The ability to pump out in-game adjustments the way the Buckeye coaches do will prove to be a major advantage in the game regardless of what the Badgers attempt schematically.

Also, Ohio State has an advantage at this key position.
