The Ohio State football team’s biggest test of the season looms this Saturday at noon so I have plenty of predictions for the game at hand.

This is a huge weekend for the No. 3 ranked Ohio State football team. The Buckeyes will take on the No. 13 ranked Wisconsin Badgers which is an important game for both teams.

Not only does this game have huge implications, but this is a massive recruiting weekend as well, headlined by 2021 five-star running back recruit Will Shipley from Matthews, North Carolina, according to landgrantholyland.com. The Buckeyes look to make a good impression on the No. 21 rated player in his class who is currently undecided as to what university to attend.

Hopefully he sees a Buckeyes win tough.

There are plenty of interesting aspects to the Buckeyes vs. Badgers matchup and here are five predictions for Saturday’s game.

J.K. Dobbins will get 20 rushing attempts

Seems pretty logical, doesn’t it? Believe it or not, Dobbins has only carried the ball 20 times or more eight times in his Buckeye career. Want to guess Ohio State’s record in those eight games? That’s right, 8-0.

Ohio State needs to feed Dobbins early and often in order to wear down this very talented Wisconsin front seven.

Barron Browning will have his best game as a Buckeye

Linebacker Barron Browning sat out last Friday night’s win over Northwestern with an undisclosed injury. It sounds like it was for precautionary reasons, maybe to make sure he was ready to go up against Jonathan Taylor and Wisconsin.

Head coach Ryan Day sounds optimistic about his return via Bucknuts:

"“Yeah, it’s an injury,” Day said, “He’s working through it, but he’s looking good … We’ll have to check on him when we get back, but we think he’ll be OK.”"

The Silver Bullets are going to need Browning in this one. His speed and athleticism makes him an ideal matchup for Ohio State’s defense against one of the best running backs in the country in Taylor. I expect Browning to show up hungry in this one after having to sit for the Northwestern game.

Now on to my next three predictions. Two have to do with one former ball coach and one current one.
