David:

After being pretty good the past two years, Northwestern has been less than impressive this year.

Their offense has been horrible, only averaging 14.4 points per game, as quarterbacks Hunter Johnson and Aiden Smith have combined for two touchdowns and eight interceptions. This is while their top running back Drake Anderson only has 366 yards on the ground this season.

Defensively, Northwestern has been average, allowing their opponents to score 19.8 points per game. Their defense has probably kept them in games as they only lost to Wisconsin by nine points and to Nebraska by three but their offense can’t keep up and they haven’t faced an offense quite like Ohio State’s.

The Buckeyes’ offense should make the Wildcat defense look pretty bad behind the likes of Justin Fields, J.K. Dobbins and company as they just have too many weapons to slow down.

Ohio State’s defense should also dominate the low-powered Northwestern offense behind future top-five pick Chase Young.

I expect the Buckeyes to use the rest they had from the bye week, and their excessive talent, to steamroll the Wildcats.

Prediction: Ohio State 49-10
