Ohio State Football: Week 8 predictions, Buckeyes vs. Wildcats
Peter:
In the preseason, this match-up looked like a recipe for an upset. Now, the Buckeyes (6-0, 3-0 Big Ten) have been dominant while the Wildcats (1-4, 0-2 Big Ten) have sputtered through their season.
Northwestern head coach Pat Fitzgerald always has a physical defense, but Justin Fields and J.K. Dobbins should be able to throw and run all over the Wildcats’ defense, while the putrid offense of Northwestern will be able to do very little against Ohio State, even without Baron Browning.
If Northwestern can stop the Buckeyes’ offense, they will attempt to slow the game down. However, I think that the Buckeyes have a big first drive and stop the Wildcats’ offense on the way to a dominating win.
In this game, both teams score right around their average in points per game on the way to a massive Ohio State win and Ohio State will have a chance to rest up their starters for the Wisconsin game on October 26, which will help determine the Big Ten’s best CFP contender.
Ohio State 52, Northwestern 13
