Blake:

Following a bye week, the Buckeyes return to the gridiron looking to pick up exactly where they left off. If the last two years are any indication, this has trap game written all over it. Good thing the past is “dead and gone” according to the official hype trailer released by Ohio State Football on Twitter this week.

I like Ohio State to come out on fire in efforts to silence the hostile road crowd that just very well may be a pretty even divide. Buckeye Nation seems to travel well to Evanston, like everywhere else.

Ryan Day’s goal for Northwestern is to take them seriously as it is a Big Ten Championship Game rematch from a year ago. But to win decisively and stay healthy in the process. The Buckeyes have a few scratches against the Wildcats and Day certainly wants them back for Wisconsin.

Northwestern’s offense has been anemic in 2019 and I expect more of the same. The Silver Bullets will shut down the Wildcats who I don’t even think find the end zone.

Justin Fields and JK Dobbins will lead the charge on offense but I like Master Teague to actually get more touches just to preserve Dobbins for next week. The Buckeyes roll, get an extra day’s rest, and gear up for a showdown in Columbus against the Badgers.
