Every week this season I will make my predictions for Big Ten games. Ohio State has a bye week but there are interesting battles that could affect races in both divisions.

No Ohio State game in Week 7 but plenty of action in the Big Ten. Here we go with this week’s predictions.

Wisconsin (-10.5) vs. Michigan State:

Potentially the game of the week in the Big Ten.

On paper, this looks like a comfortable win for the Badgers.  Their defense has been lights out so it is unlikely the Spartan’s will suddenly become explosive offensively.

Michigan State is also coming off a very physical game against the Buckeyes and this is the second of back-to-back road games.

All that adds up to an easy win for Wisconsin.

Pump the brakes a bit.  The game will be close.

Jack Coan has been an upgrade over Alex Hornibrook, but it is not like he’s setting the world on fire, especially with his feet.

The Spartans can play their base defense and have success stopping Jonathan Taylor.

This game will look just like Wisconsin’s game against Northwestern two weeks ago.  A defensive slugfest.

Home field and a couple of turnovers in the second half will carry Wisconsin to the low-scoring win.

Wisconsin 24-13.
