We are halfway through Ohio State football’s regular season and the Buckeyes now have a bye this week. Let’s look at the top plays so far.

Ohio State football has had a dominant and exciting start to the 2019 season as they are 6-0 and tied for No. 3 in the nation.

The Buckeyes unfortunately have a bye this week so since we don’t have a game to prepare for, so let’s take a look back at the top five plays of the season so far.

Be prepared, you might disagree with my list because there have been a ton of great plays over this hot start. But without further ado here is my list starting with No. 5.

No. 5:  Chase Young’s strip-sack vs. Miami (Ohio)

Ohio Sate absolutely obliterated the Miami RedHawks, winning 76-5 and the game even ended a couple minutes early due to weather. A big reason for the blowout was the play of defensive end Chase Young.

Young had two strip sacks in the game but the play I chose for this list is his second one. Young used his pure speed and quickness to just blow by the lineman assigned to block him and then just knocked the ball out of Miami quarterback Jackson Williamson’s hand while taking him to the ground.

This occurred with just over two minutes left in the second quarter and Ohio State already led 42-5 so it was not clutch or anything but it showed Young’s very high potential as I believe we will see him play on Sundays for a very long time.

The No. 4 and No. 3 plays come on the offensive end but one of them also happened during the Miami game.
