Week 5 of the NFL season is over and as usual plenty of former Ohio State players played well, with Michael Thomas having a huge game.

Let’s first get to a former Ohio State defensive end who made waves on Monday night.

Nick Bosa | 4 Tackles, 2 Sacks, 1 FF, 1 FR, 1 TFL

In front of a national audience on Monday Night Football, Nick Bosa showed everyone why he was the second pick in last year’s draft. The rookie had four tackles on the night, but the highlight was the strip sack he had on Baker Mayfield when he promptly mimicked planting a flag on the field.

An action similar to what Mayfield did against the Buckeyes in 2017 after Oklahoma defeated Ohio State on their home field.

Bosa would also get another sack on the night, as well as fumble recovery and a tackle for loss. This is by far the best game of his young NFL career and showed that Bosa should be a force for years to come.

But I wouldn’t expect him to continue this production on a regular basis. The Browns have a below average offensive line and the young rookie definitely took advantage of it.

Still, I’m excited to see what he can do for the rest of the season. And whether or not he can follow in his brother’s footsteps and win Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2019.
