Those of us at Scarlet And Game make our predictions on the Ohio State game each week. Here are ours for Week 6 as the Buckeyes take on the Spartans.

Once again we at Scarlet And Game will make our predictions on the Ohio State game. Buckeyes vs. Spartans is often quite a battle.

Here is our predictions as to how the game will play out and the final score. We will begin with last week’s winner David Wysong.

David:

Michigan State is coming off a 7-6 season and is coming into the game against Ohio State with a 4-1 record as their one loss was to Arizona State. They only lost by three points in that game but their offense only scored seven points.

Michigan State’s offense is scoring 31.4 points per game despite that low-scoring outing but if Arizona State can hold them to one score I guarantee that Ohio State can absolutely dominate the Spartans’ offense as the Buckeyes are only allowing 8.6 points per game, fourth in the nation.

The Spartans’ season stats are good defensively as they are only allowing 15 points per game but they allowed the Indiana Hoosiers to score 31 points last week – a team that only scored 10 on Ohio State.

Ohio State’s offense is one of the best in the nation, scoring 52.4 points per game, so if the Spartans allowed the Hoosiers to score so many points I can’t imagine what the Buckeyes are about to do.

I expect Ohio State to shut down the Michigan State offense, even though their quarterback Brian Lewerke is having a good season with 1,325 yards, 10 touchdowns and one interception, and I think Justin Fields, J.K. Dobbins, and all the other Buckeye weapons will be too much for the Spartans’ defense.

Prediction: Ohio State wins 42-10
