Those of us at Scarlet And Game make our predictions on the Ohio State game each week. Here are ours for Week 3 as the Buckeyes take on the Hoosiers.

The Ohio State Buckeyes will begin their Big Ten schedule when they go on the road to take on the Indiana Hoosiers. As always, we at Scarlet And Game will make our predictions on the game.

Let’s begin with my nemesis Thomas Scurlock who smoked me in the predictions last year.

Tom:  Ohio State vs. Indiana has been a difficult game to predict lately.

The last three games, the average margin of victory was 24 points.  I doubt any fan felt comfortable until late in the game.

Previous games do not matter this year, so I’ll go with what I’ve seen already.

The Hoosiers have balance on offense.  Michael Penix is still raw, but he’s played well.  He can run, but I suspect he’ll limit his running given that he’s coming off a season-ending knee injury last year.

The player to watch is tight end Peyton Hendershot.  The only issue the defense has had in the first two games is covering tight ends down field.

The Buckeyes’ defense has been dialed-in for the first two games.  It will be ready to take the initial punches and lock down the Hoosiers.

Defensively, Indiana plays the 4-2-5 and will be aggressive in trying to get to Justin Fields.

The offense plays better in tempo so I expect them to play fast and mix up the play calling to keep the Hoosiers off-balance.

Ohio State will take control before the half and put the pedal down in the third.

Buckeyes win 45-20.
