For the most part Big Ten teams have performed well so far this season. However, there are interesting games involving conference teams in Week 3.

Every week this season I will make my predictions for Big Ten games.  First up is the Big Ten West.

 Iowa (-2) at Iowa State

The game of the week in the West.

The Hawkeyes have owned the series lately winning the last four and seven out of the last 10.

Iowa has looked impressive in their wins over Miami, OH and Rutgers.  Nate Stanley has already thrown for 488 yards and six touchdowns.

The defense has only allowed 370 total yards so it looks like Kirk Ferentz has his typical blue-collar unit ready to go.

Matt Campbell is looking to make some noise in the Big 12 this year. It did not show in the season opener as the Cyclones struggled to put away Northern Iowa squeaking out a 29-26 overtime win.

The Hawkeyes have started 3-0 the last two years.  I think they will make it a third.

Iowa wins a low scoring game 24-20.

The next game should be very interesting.
