Each week those of us at Scarlet And Game make our predictions on the Ohio State game. Here are ours for week two as the Buckeyes take on the Bearcats.

Most of us had Ohio State winning big last week but Peter Burtnett’s margin of victory was the closest so he was the winner. With that he has the honor of going first.

Peter: The Buckeyes come into this game with less momentum then they could have, going from a 28-0 first quarter lead to a 45-21 win over FAU. It’s not disastrous by any means, but shows that the Buckeyes still have areas to improve.

The Bearcats head into Columbus with the expectation to win. History may not be on their side (no in-state team has beaten the Buckeyes since 1921, home or away) but talent and motivation are both there for a potentially historic upset.

However, I think that Ohio State has just enough talent to edge Cincy in this one, and will make the plays necessary to pull out a hard-fought victory.

Ohio State 31, Cincinnati 21
