Purdue (-10.5) over Nevada

Tricky first game for the Boilermakers.  They travel to Nevada and the game time is 10 p.m.  The Wolf Pack is also a decent team.

It is not a secret what Jeff Brohm’s strategy will be.  Get the ball in Rondale Moore’s hands early and often.  He’s not only the best player in the Big Ten but in college football.

Nevada’s defense is inexperienced and will have difficulty containing Moore.  He’ll end up with at least 150 yards receiving and two touchdowns as long as Elijah Sindelar plays well.

Defensively, the Boilermakers return nine starters from a unit that played pretty well last year.  Nevada’s breaking in a new quarterback so that should help make their job easier on Friday night.

Purdue started 0-3 last year.  If it loses this game, it could happen again because Vanderbilt and TCU are the next two opponents.  It will take care of business.

Boilermakers win 34-13.
