No. 4 Terry Glenn
Terry Glenn is one of the most interesting players and has one of the more interesting stories in Ohio State Football history playing from 1993-1995.
Growing up an avid Buckeye fan, Glenn walked on as a freshman where he would earn a scholarship right away in spring drills.
Unfortunately for Glenn though, a run-first offense behind Eddie George and Raymont Harris as well as the fact that he had to sit behind Joey Galloway his first two seasons made it such that Glenn didn’t see the field very often.
But in his Junior season, Glenn broke out in a big way. In 12 of 13 games, he caught 64 passes for 1,411 yards and 17 touchdowns. His 64 receptions rank 7th in Buckeye history for one season, the 1,411 yards ranks 2nd on the single-season Buckeye receiving yards list and his 17 touchdowns in 1995 have still yet to be topped by any Buckeye receiver.
Glenn also had a monster game against Pittsburgh in 1995 as he had 253 receiving yards and 4 touchdowns. Both of these feats still sit at the top of Buckeye receiving single-game records.
He would be named to the All-Big Ten First-Team as well as a consensus All-American in 1995. Glenn would also win the Fred Biletnikoff Award winner, the honor bestowed to the nation’s top receiver.
We can only imagine the numbers Glenn would have put up both if he would have been let loose earlier and if he had not forgone his 1996 senior season.
Nonetheless, a season such as the one Glenn put up in 1995 makes him deserving of his ranking on this list.
