The Ohio State football program has had plenty of great receivers during its long storied history. Here is a look at the 10 best.

Many outstanding Ohio State football wide receivers went on to have fantastic careers in the NFL. But who were the best during their time playing for the Buckeyes?

I am going list those I believe are the top 10 to catch footballs for Ohio State. Trust me, this wasn’t an easy list to make. Let’s get into it.

No. 10 Joey Galloway

Joey Galloway is now known for his appearances on ESPN college football coverage. But before all of that, he was known for being a Buckeye legend.

Playing from 1991-1994 in the scarlet and gray, Galloway established himself early as a freshman gaining 255 yards receiving on 14 receptions.

Galloway’s breakout season would come in 1993 after being injured for most of the year prior. As a Junior Galloway led the team in receptions with 47 and finished just shy of the 1,000 yards mark, amassing 946 yards receiving.

By season’s end, he had 11 receiving touchdowns which still ranks tied for 5th all-time in Buckeye history. His single-game performance against Michigan State in 1993 still holds up in the Ohio State record books as well.

He had 186 receiving yards against the Spartans which ranks 10th in Buckeye history. To top off the huge season, he would be named First-Team All-Big Ten as well an All-American.

Galloway had a lot of momentum going into his senior season but he just wasn’t able to reach the heights he did as a junior. He had 44 receptions for 669 yards and 7 touchdowns.

Numbers that still landed him a spot in on the Second-Team All-Big Ten list and as the number 8 NFL draft pick the following year.

Fun fact about Galloway: He is the receiving yards leader in NFL history of players never selected to a Pro Bowl.
