4) Howard Cassady

Howard Cassidy was one of the earliest star running backs in the history of Ohio State Football. Not only did he win the Heisman trophy and was the third to do so for the Buckeyes ( first two were Les Horvath and Vic Janowicz), but he was was named a first team All American.

Cassady would rush for 2,466 yards and score 37 touchdowns.  He would then head to the NFL winning a Championship with the Detroit Lions in 1957. Cassady would also play for the Cleveland Browns and Philadelphia Eagles before returning to the Lions in ‘63.

After football, Cassady has done some scouting for the New York Yankees, as of recently, and is still a famous person to this day.
