Ohio State Football: Top 10 Buckeye running backs of all time

8) Robert Smith

Smith would be with the program from 1990-1992 but would sit out in 91 due to a disagreement with one of the coaches.  Still though, was he something to watch.

During his time as a Buckeye, Smith would make history becoming the first Ohio State freshman to rush for 1,000 yards and would rush for nearly 2,000 yards coming up short at 1,945 during his Buckeye career.

Smith would later on play for the Minnesota Vikings in the NFL for eight seasons, rushing for 1,000 or more in his final four seasons.
