Once again there were plenty of Ohio State football players who heard their names called during the NFL draft as nine did this year.

It’s obvious NFL teams value Ohio State football players as nine more were selected in this year’s draft. It’s the third time this century at least nine Buckeyes have been chosen, and every year since 2014 at least five have been.

Here is a look at this year’s crop of future NFL players.

DE Nick Bosa, 1st Round:  The Ohio State defensive end was taken by the San Francisco 49ers at the No. 2 pick to improve their pass rush. I think the 49ers will get their money’s worth.

QB Dwayne Haskins, 1st Round:  The Washington Redskins are certainly glad the New York Giants made a huge blunder which allowed Haskins to fall to the 15th pick in the draft. Expect Haskins to cause the division rival grief for years to come.

WR Parris Campbell, 2nd Round:  Don’t you think Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck loves to have a player he can hit on a short pass who can take it to the house.

DT Dre’Mont Jones, 3rd Round:  I think the Denver Broncos may have one of the steals in the draft with this pick. Every team needs depth on the defensive line and Jones can play inside or out.

WR Terry McLaurin, 3rd Round:  The Washington Redskins made another brilliant move bringing in Haskins’ teammate to throw the ball to. This will be a fun combo to watch on Sundays.

DB Kendall Sheffield, 4th Round:  If the Atlanta Falcons were looking for a defensive back with plenty of potential and outstanding speed they got those things by choosing Sheffield.

OG Michael Jordan, 4th Round:  Great pick for the Cincinnati Bengals as Jordan can play beside center Billy Price once again.

OT Isaiah Prince, 6th Round:  The Miami Dolphins chose a right tackle who has proven he can keep the quarterback upright. Prince could also move inside if necessary.

RB Mike Weber, 7th Round:  I can’t believe Weber dropped this far but I’m sure the Dallas Cowboys will be glad he did.

Well, there’s the 2019 Ohio State NFL Draft Class. I have a feeling there will be general managers who will be wishing they hadn’t passed on some of these players down the road.
