Ohio State Football: Peter Burtnett’s complete 1st Rd. NFL Mock Draft
6. DT Ed Oliver, Houston – New York Jets (from NY Giants: trade 3rd for 6th, 17th, and 95th)
Jets trade down, still get excellent player who will fill the Jets’ need for a pass rusher.
7. OT/G Jonah Williams, Alabama – Jacksonville Jaguars
Jaguars need offensive help, OT/G or TE top projections. Jaguars fill a need with Williams, who could play both OT and OG.
8. QB Dwayne Haskins, Ohio State – Miami Dolphins (from DET: trade 13th, 78th and 151st for 8th)
Dolphins traded away Tannehill, signed Fitzpatrick, who will be a solid veteran leader as Haskins grows. I call BS on waiting till 2020.
9. OT Jawaan Taylor, Florida – Buffalo Bills
Bills could easily trade up, but instead wait back and still pick up talented tackle from Florida to protect Josh Allen.
10. WR D.K. Metcalf, Ole Miss – Denver Broncos
Broncos signed Joe Flacco this offseason and need another wide receiver. Metcalf will be a welcome addition alongside Emmanuel Sanders.
