Defensive Player of The Year: Andre Wesson

Andre Wesson also played a big part in the success of the Buckeyes this season on both ends of the court. In particular, Andre continually was able to show off his defensive prowess.

Often times he was assigned to guard the best player for the opposing team, He was definitely the most versatile defender on the Buckeye’s roster this season.

Wesson was able to guard on the outside and inside. That is what gives him the nod on this award.

There were a few close contenders as this was a stellar defensive team all year, but Andre Wesson gets the nod from me.

Honorable Mention: Luther Mohammed

Mohammad’s willingness to defend was unusual for a true freshman and he did so well all season long.
