Minnesota vs. Louisville

Tom:  Richard Pitino is saying all the right things about Minnesota’s matchup against Louisville, but there has to be a fire in his belly to beat his dad’s former team.

The Golden Gophers struggles a little in the middle of the Big Ten season, but have won four out of their six and made a little run in the tournament.

Both teams are evenly matched. I give a slight edge to Louisville. The Cardinals will pull out the win, 72-67.

Blake:  Both teams have had rocky regular seasons, but found a way to earn a conference tournament victory. Even though the Cardinals finished the season on a tough note, I think they have enough to outlast the Golden Gophers and win a close one 69-65.

Shayne:  Minnesota had a nice run in the Big Ten Tournament but their season comes to an abrupt end after a tough draw against Louisville. Louisville, led by former Xavier head coach Chris Mack and Sophomore forward Jordan Nwora the Cardinals should find a way to get past the Golden Gophers.

Minnesota, led by double-double star Jordan Murphy, won’t have enough fire power to get by Louisville.

CL:  Louisville is catching Minnesota at the wrong time and you know coach Pitino wants to win this game in the worst way. I’ll take the Gophers.
