Wisconsin went 1-1 in week 17 as their first game was a road loss to Indiana in double OT by the score of 75-73. Ethan Happ once again led the Badgers in all three major categories racking up 23 points, grabbing 11 boards, and 4 assists.

On Saturday, they actually came away with an impressive home win against Penn State, stopping a 4-game win streak by the Nittany Lions. Junior Guard Brevin Pritzl tied his season high scoring 17 points in a crucial win to keep Wisconsin in the top 25 rankings. That continues the Badgers’ standing for a middle of line seed in the NCAA Tournament.

Wisconsin will look to get two more wins over teams currently in the projected NCAA Tournament field, Iowa and Ohio State.

Iowa has been one of those teams this season that has been pretty much locked into the tournament for quite a while now thanks to a strong non-conference slate, but in the Big Ten has run into some speed bumps. Week 17 was one of those speed bumps.

As the Hawkeyes lost both of their match ups in week 17 by a pretty sizable margin. The first was to the Buckeyes who got their biggest win of the Big Ten season torching the Hawkeyes 90-70. Then senior Forward Nick Baer had a season high scoring 17 points, but Iowa would once again fall by double digits to a team lower than them in the Big Ten standings, losing to Rutgers 86-72.

Their tournament seeding definitely took a hit after week 17 but Iowa will be looking to move back up in week 18 with games against Wisconsin and Nebraska to wrap up the season.
